I managed to capture an image of Jupiter with my Meade LPI.  I probably could have gotten a lot better image had it not become cloudy.  You can see the great red spot transiting on the right side of the image.

It's been a while since we had clear skies here, but on Monday I managed to get a few nice shots of the moon with a Canon 20D that my friend Jonathan Blevins has graciously loaned me.  I bought a focal reducer for the scope specifically for imaging the moon.  Here's one of the images (click on the image for the full size image):

With Saturn at opposition tonight, I managed to capture a halfway decent image with my Meade LPI imager.  This image was capture with a 2X Barlow lens:

I recently purchased a Meade LX90 8" Schmidt-Cassegrain Telescope from Astronomics in Norman, OK.
This site will document my adventures exploring the sky with it and provide a place to display images captured with it.
